Job Description

Our client is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their team. They are a late-stage Series A business, founded in 2021 and aiming to build the next generation Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation and experimentation platform.

Backed by tier 1 investors and over $23M in funding, our client is poised to build an enduring business centered around the core ingredient of machine learning – the data.

Role Description

As a founding Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a foundational role in designing, building, and scaling the build and deployment systems. We’re looking for an exceptional software engineer, interested in solving complex problems at the intersection of Data and ML.

Your Responsibilities as a DevOps Engineer:

  • Build and scale our client’s build and deployment system

  • Streamline our client’s customer deployment and release management pipelines for customers

  • Build robust internal operations tooling to drive up developer efficiency

  • Design and develop internal observability around internal as well as customer clusters

  • Build and own tooling to automate our client’s operational infrastructure

 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will need:

  • 3 years minimum of relevant work experience

  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and/or related container orchestration systems

  • Worked with Jenkins, Github Actions as well as other systems and tools to streamline CI/CD processes

  • Strong experience with Python

  • Experience building backend services and APIs (in Python)

  • A startup mindset, biasing toward thoughtful action with minimal direction

 

An ideal candidate should also have:

  • Strong experience working with:

    • Building and working on complex Kubernetes applications (e.g. applications with split control and data planes)

    • Cloud services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

    • Kubernetes

    • Docker and container systems

  • Strong experience building APIs in Python, working with Docker and Kubernetes, building systems on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
